So I decided to preorder Witcher 3 with my Visa Electron and all it asks is your card's information. I have used it once before on another site (which is trustworthy) and instead of just taking the card's information, it took me to my banks billing page which my Visa E is tied to so that I would have to use another set of codes given by my bank in order to complete the transaction and to prevent illegal use of my money by just using the card's information.

So the question is this. Is this standard way how Visa Electron payment works on GoG?

Since its not direct payment it doesn't update on my bank account until later so I can't confirm the transaction has happened at all even though the purchase was verified by GoG. Can I use double verification when it comes to paying on GoG? I'd like to minimize the risks regarding online shopping so I could trust it fully instead of being nervous sceptic when it comes to it.

How long was this 'once before'? Security regarding online payment change/improve over time but usually most Visa payments use something similar to Amazon 1-click ordering. They only need your card's info. (that's how it works for regular visa, so I don't know about Visa E). Also some websites require you only to put the last 3 digits on your card, for other sites you have to use a digi pass (which you can get from your bank) and you put your card in and you have to actually enter your Visa password in order to get a unique digit that you can enter. So yes it can vary and don't worry about it. (although be careful with CC and online payments).

But as you know gog is a very trustworthy site when it comes to payment so don't worry about it. IF you have received you pre order mail with your codes, then it's up to Visa and gog to figure out the payment. So no worries.

If you however have any doubts, you can always contact the very helpful and friendly support :)

I pay with visa electron, every single time, and I haven't had a single issue. It doesn't use the double confirmation, though. Not mine at least.

Yes, I did get confirmation of purchase to my email. So there are different methods of paying with Visa E. Shame that it isn't standard for everyone. +1 point for CC then even though I don't own it or care to own it.
Thank you.
