If anyone could give me a specific method to raise the window mode resolution for DOSBOX with GOG games I would greatly appreciate it.
In the game directory there should be a file called dosbox<gamename>.conf (ie, dosboxScreamer.conf for Screamer, or dosboxtex2.conf for Tex Murphy: Martian Memorandum), in that file you have a line that says "scaler=<something>"
change that line according to the DOSbox wiki... at least, I'm pretty sure that's it.
There is also a line for "windowresolution=", that you could play with, you can always go back to the original values if something bad happens (take a backup of the original file, just in case).

That switches between full-screen and windowed mode, doesn't change the windowed scaling, does it?

probably not, but the title is indicative of someone wanting to just switch, so if someone reads this thread, and goes "oh well I'm not particular about the resolution, but just want to switch." they can have that at least, answer was not for op, but for the title of the thread.

No i already know about alt-enter. My question was how do I change the resolution of the window mode in Dosbox. Miaghstir seems to have given me a solution so i am gonna try it out. Thanks anyway though.

Yep, I tried out what you suggested and it works. Lot's of fun I have been having with trying out the different scaler options. Also windowresolution does in fact work. I can now play with my window at a much higher resolution as opposed to the default little bittie window. Thanks.

yeah, I figured you didn't care about alt+enter, I just was addressing the title.
You're welcome, glad to be of assistance :-D
