I was expecting it to be about Farmville.
This looks like garbage, it seems to want to take one gag, awkward gamers and run it to the ground in some of the dumbest comedic setups ever. If you want to watch a good video game movie, watch Wreck-It Ralph instead, it is a lot more entertaining than this piece of tripe.
Wreck It Ralph is a very good movie about video games. It's a Disney animated movie with a strong story that appeals to adults and ends with a surprising twist.

The ending came to me as a surprised. It is very unexpected but also very Disney. Up until the ending, the movie does not feel like a Disney story at all. Then the surprise revelation at the end of the movie affirms it is a (very good) classic Disney story. (i.e., the revelation about Vanillope VonSchweet.) Then I realized the focus of the movie was not about the title character Ralph; the real story was about Vanillope, who went through the most character arc and growth in the story.

I do not like kart racing games. However, after seeing Wrech It Ralph, I really hope some video game developer would make Sugar Rush into a full-fledged video game. I'd love to play Sugar Rush -- that game looks really, really fun and exciting in the movie.

The other good movie about video games is "Scott Pilgrim vs The World". What a horrible and uninviting title for a movie, which I think is the reason the movie underperformed at the box office. I would have named it "Scott Pilgrim vs The League of Evil Ex-Boyfriends", which would have been catchier and grabbed interest and attention.

Scott Pilgrim isn't really about video games, it's just very video game-y in a lot of ways. Also, the book is better. (Hipster cred away!)
why?just,why?
this "movie" does not portray gamers in any way, have anyone here met a person like the character presented in the trailer?really, this thing is borderline offensive
The movie looks stupid.
And game companies should stop making games that are/try to be movies...
No... just no.

Get over it. Hollywood movies act upon stereotypes. Stoners, Nerds, Jocks, all that shit is constantly generalized by Hollywood. Don't act like gamers are the exclusive group upon which Hollywood generalizes.
I don't expect anything good to come from Hollywood so I'm not surprised.
Couldn't watch the whole trailer, so many brain cells starting to die. I'd rather watch cartoon network's show (don't remember the name but it involves some boss coming out of the mmo into the real world) about gamers over this.

edit: While I'm thinking about it, what the hell is Adam Sessler doing in this? I thought the man had a little more class than this.

So it's Fanboys meets The Hangover, with the typical 1980s ski movie thrown in for good measure.

Someone remind to miss this one.
But Hollywood DID make a good movie about games...

I'll give you Wreck-It Ralph, but personally, I hated Scott Pilgrim.

Nah, I don't think so, I'm glad it didn't have a title like that, besides, the title is borrowed from one of the comics the movie is based on. But yeah, I liked it, too.
