I just saw it on the list of latest releases. I thought it was blocked for some song's right or whatnot? Were they ressolved?

Anyway, hopefully this means it will be coming to GOG too. Alongside Blood money, if dreaming is still cheap.
In matter of speaking.Looking at forums it seems they cut the songs from the game.

Well, I don't know what song it was, but I much rather have the game without that song than no game at all. I highly doubt it was awesome enough to justify blocking the re-release of the game.

Put on my wish, this is the only Hitman I miss.
According to the forums speech and music have been ripped out.

It was from Jesper KYD.He has done some Ubisoft games soundtracks so i dont think he done something but without the whole story cant point fingers.
I think it's the first game that i see where a company removes entire sound from the game.

Immortal by Clutch
Instead of removing or replacing the track in dispute, the file with all the music tracks and voices was removed from the game... (:P)
One solution is to copy that file from a retail CD copy of the game to the Steam version of the game, but it seems that Square-Enix is aware of the problem and working on a fix:

I think it's been well established at this point that Square doesn't like GOG, and uses them as a source of cheap labor to get their games up and running on modern systems.

That is... pretty absurd. I know I said I'd rather have the game without a track than no game at all, but stripping all music and voices is ridiculous.

Removing the original soundtrack by Jesper Kyd was an accident, the song with the legal issues was the licensed song Immortal by Clutch (as others have already pointed out). But it is absolutely mindblowing that there's such incompetence out there. Apparently they even removed all the voices. Guess someone at Squenix didn't know how to remove just one song and just deleted a whole archive with lots of other audio assets - instead of just approaching someone who does know how to get the job done. :P

I'm pretty sure that was an accident (or at least endless ignorance of the person in charge of "fixing" the game). The reply by one of the developers suggests so.

That happens when you call a hitman to do the job.He never stops.
