I know that The Witcher is on Steam and Night Dive was exclusive to you guys for a while, but are you guys cool with them? Like, is it a far better relationship than Nintendo/Sony/Microsoft?
The thing is, GOG and Steam don't compete (or at least used to) for the same market. GOG offers old gems while Steam is the DRMd AAA store. Big console manufacturers in truth compete for the same audience because unlike GOG and Steam where they are both on PC, consumers have to shove extra money for the machine and their services as well, so this pretty much is the basic concept of competition and why Steam has been thriving for years with no competition and GOG begins to thrive too because of it's higher quality in services.

And to answer the question you asked, yes, most people here are ok with Steam guys, or Origin guys, or Uplay guys.

Bah, the Microsoft/Sony competition is nothing compared to Sega/Nintendo back in the days. To be very honest Nintendo doesn't directly compete with Microsoft and Sony anymore. Nintendo has its own loyal fanbase that will buy their console just to play the new Mario, Zelda, Metroid (like me).

I despise Uplay, but have nothing against Uplay guys. I mean, their life is horrible enough as it is, no need to keep pushing them towards despair.

I have Uplay for console Ubisoft games to use their rewards.

I'm cool with people that like steam. It has faults but it's great at auto updating titles and getting the game up and running with little work. Also f2p games (like Warframe) thrive in that setup. I use GOG for mostly single player and old games that don't really benefit from having an active client.
Steam is fine as long as it is an option (and I don't have to use it) but when a title is exclusive to it, that just saves me money.

And I I'm fine with others liking the service unless they mistake it for the entirety of PC gaming
