Thanks for a warning. Thankfully most people I know, not only think I am crazy, but also would not have this film on their to-watch list.

michaelleung: You know, Battlefield Earth just made me NOT want to be a Scientologist.

Read the book, you might actually enjoy it. You still won't want to be a Scientologist (hopefully), but I actually think it's an excellent sci-fi novel. As opposed to the movie which appears to be the most expensive joke ever made.
