I know very little about the game I'm thinking of. It was an old platform game for a PC, propably made before 2000, where you were in control of a lizard. The landscape was pretty spooky and I remember guillotine traps laying around everywhere that you had to pass through at certain time or you would die. I may be wrong about the thing that you controlled lizard, that's only how I remembered this. Thanks for any help.

Yep, gotta be Gex. Looks like my memory serves me well, I think I was 6 when I saw the gameplay, later didn't have an opportunity to see it again. Wonder why did I suddenly remembered about it?
