I'm having discoloration problems with a few GOG games and I've been told deactivating hardware acceleration would help....

Except I can't, I have an ATI/AMD card and Win 7, the Troubleshooting tab is grayed out and the Catalyst program doesn't seem to have that option either.

I am gessing some games are being displayed in 256 colours? With that what comes to mind is Die by the Sword, you have to get small program that allows you to run it correctly. Instead of using the normal exe file for it you run it through a startup program and it fixes things for you.

You could try disabling desktop composition in the games exe properties > right click game start shortcut, select properties. Then when the window opens click compatability and check disable desktop composition then click apply.

You need to say what games are causing your issues and also take a look in the specific game forums as there is loads of info in them.
Run in 98 / ME or XP compatibility mode, with admin rights, and have the Screen Resolution window open prior to starting the game.
Yes! It worked! Thanks, guys!
