It said there aren't any EA servers anymore, but I installed the DLC from a different section on the PS3 disc so I suppose I'm okay. Must be for some kind of multiplayer.

Origins don't have Multiplayer. But there is an online game called Dragon Age Journeys that you can earn items for through Origins/Dragon Age 2.
