Ok, so I've gone and bought Hammer & Sickle online, its a hard copy so a Disk.
I installed it last night but went to bed before trying it because it was 1am.
Anyway go on it this morning and I had starforce taunting me as it kept saying reboot your system for successful installation. I done it maybe 4-8 times.
Been online and found out that Starforce protection system isn't compatible with windows 7, however the game is. Which makes no sense.
I;m looking for help around it, just grabbed an update for it and I hope it works. But I want help in case it doesn't because my 'very last' resort is by getting a no cd patch and I really want to avoid that.

Any help and suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance :D

A no-cd fix from random internet people is usually safer to have than starforce.
I'm guessing you've already tried StarForce's SFUPDATE utility which can update some StarForce versions to be Windows 7-compatible (I don't know whether it covers the version used by this game).

If StarForce's update utility can't see the game or doesn't fix the problem you don't really have many options other than using a crack unless you want to go as far as dual booting a version of Windows supported by that StarForce version.
Don't forget that if you're playing on windows 7 or vista you're probably (90%) gonna need the dll fix here:http://www.gog.com/forum/silent_storm/no_shadows_andor_refraction_heres_the_fix
Otherwise the game will crash and burn, just like Silent Storm does. The mod has been created by the author of H&S so I'm pretty sure it's needed.
And afaik the game is much better with the latest unofficial patch (which is done also by the same author). Don't remember if that still had the CD protection in.

I had a blast with this game, but it's not the easiest ride. As lame as it sounds, a walk-through might be a good idea, especially after you fail the main plot for whatever reason. This game doesn't hold our hand at all.

later edit: Ok, just got through my game kits and found the resources for H&S. Apparently I had to use the unofficial patch 1.15 (http://www.strategycore.co.uk/files/unofficial-english-patch-1.15-h-and-s/) and some form of nocd. I still have the files if you need further assistance.
