The game isn't new at all.It was on windows store for a while.The fact that they are only focusing on single player is disappointing.This could've been a great remake of Halo Wars.However for $5 ,I think it's a good buy!

This is a twin-stick shooter; it is not an RTS.

Co-op was introduced for the console versions so might make its way to the PC versions later on (the Windows Store version got some extra content after its was released).

Yeah, definitely proves they've at least thought about it. I would imagine the Xbox exclusive thing eventually becomes irrelevant and the only question left is whether it's worth the port costs.

Having played Halo 2 on PC and Halo 3 on a friend's Xbox I don't think people are really missing anything, honestly. I found the singleplayer campaigs pretty lacking compared to the original and there are better multiplayer options on the PC, designed for the PC.

Fable 2 wasn't released on the PC, was it? And even then, the rumors about Halo 3 on the PC have been going for years. The Steam database entry isn't new, Halo 3 is almost 7 years old and Microsoft never ever mentioned a PC version. The nvidia drivers thing doesn't mean much, Heavy Rain and Haze used to be mentioned on the Physx list for the PC and both are PS3 exclusives.

The PC version of Fable 3 was released simultaneously on the Xbox 360 and the PC (or almost simultaneously, i don't remember now), it was not an afterthought like Halo 2 and GOW.

It took several years for the Final Fantasy games to come to Steam after being in the Steam database. So again, don't dismiss it so easily. Besides that Halo, Halo 2, and Halo 3 all have Official Steam community groups. These are groups that can only be created by Valve and/or the publisher.

Yes, you're right about that. We'll wait and see.

I still believe that if Microsoft decides to release the Halo games for PCs, they will skip the old ones like they did with Fable 2. But we're just speculating here.
