Isn't this one already released as freeware from 3DRealms? So while it is possible for GOG.com to bring it, not sure they will.

I believe so, but the version of their (3D Realms) Web site is not packaged with DOSBox and it's requires a fair bit of mucking around to get it to work...

I had a play around with it, but couldn't get it to run - at least with GOG.com games, I simply install and it does the rest for me.

Yes and even before that the first 2 episodes out of 3 were free because of a goof in the ordering between Halloween Harry and Alien Carnage where the first two episodes were swapped.

It surprises me that this would have any trouble in DOSBox.

iirc the only thing you need to set is cpu to max. Works fine.
