Sorry but just needed somewhere to hit myself! Damn damn damn! The game was removed over 5 months ago I think but only wanted to buy it during a sale, but only noticed today!

There isn't much point to this post but just wanted a place to hit my keyboard, so here goes...

ffggffdfssdf gfadfsdfasdffsdsdffsdsfdfgfdfdsffagdgdgdag gdffsfsdfsd.5454 dsaads.

Damn damn damn!

Also wanted Neverwinter Nights 2 but think that was pulled years ago from Steam. Wish Steam would give warnings before a pull, just like GOG does.

You can get it on GG

http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-GHBU/ghostbusters-the-videogame
Also, it is on sale currently.

Anybody bought it and can tell us about the DRM ?
Thanks SimonG, someone mentioned Gamersgate to me but prefer purchases in as few places as possible, so GOG and Steam is where I normally buy from.

sebarnolds, Gamersgate requires internet to 'install' the game from (not just login)! Yuck.

I don't think NWN2 was pulled years ago on Steam? It happened quite recently when Hasbro got the rights back.

It's already back up on Gamersgate, and from the registry activity there's at least Baldurs Gate activity coming in the Steam releases, I imagine they'll probably make a return eventually.

Not a problem for the bulk of the people who buy from a digital store I imagine since a lot of people tend to download the game when they feel like playing anyway, which, by default, requires internet.

oh poop, i didn't know ghostbusters got pulled. I always wanted to play it but my pc wasn't good enough. It's one of the main games on my "to play" list when i upgrade this tin can of a pc
well that's made my mind up will pick ghostbusters up from gamers gate then, also glad i picked up the neverwinter collection from gamers gate when they had it on sale for £3.75(even thought i had steam version). didnt even know steam had gotten rid of these two games

Could you post here about DRM when you install it (online activation, serial...) ? Apart from the usual Gamersgate downloader stuff (login to download).

Thanks.

Just. Like. Steam.

Only, unlike Steam, you can bypass that fairly easily after initial install.
I already have it on Steam, but would also be interested to know about the DRM. If it's DRM-free, the usual GG downloader shenanigans notwithstanding, it'll be an instabuy for me at that price.
will let people know if it finish downloading before i leave work, as i have just moved house not getting internet back on until Thursday, if not finished today will inform people tomorrow

edit done a little checking and it appears to be Securom :(

You aren't missing much. Game is a cheap Gears of War clone in Ghostbusters clothing. If you strip away the Ghostbusters aesthetic, it's nothing more than a mundane 3rd person shooter with a small, semi-interesting wrangle & capture mechanic.
i actually had for the 360 and enjoyed it more than gears of war which i found to be a very over hyped and average game at best, but I'm a huge ghostbuster fan and its as close as we will get to a third movie

It was the Ghostbusters aesthetic and Dan Aykroyd's involvement in the scriptwriting that made it worthwhile though.
