Not the best place to ask this question, but I'm afraid to step foot in steam forums, so:

A buddy from America bought me GTA IV on the steam's sale and neither of us noticed this until now - I have the game in my inventory, but in the description it says US/AU. Does seem like I can activate it, though I'm not too hasty about that. Has anyone had a similar dilemma? I'm afraid there might be problems of... whatever sort.

Well, damn... There also doesn't seem to be much information on the censorship, from what I found, the prostitution is censored and some of the blood, I guess?

Now then, is there any way to know which version am I getting, US or AU, they're both written in there and there's no way they'd censor the in the US.

I'm guessing it's not so much an option but more along the lines of what regional version you get. I have the US version of the game and I haven't noticed anything censored, I can get hookers, take drugs, etc etc.

AU version was made fit to their age restrictions and you can't accept deugs there.

I don't know why US/AU versions are bound together here. But you should be able to activate it on your account.
