Sorry to hear that something has gone wrong in your world... but at least know there are a lot of us gamers here at GOG that do send our wishes your way.

I hesitate to be "in," since I do have the original discs for BG 1 somewhere, and even if I did get picked, I probably wouldn't get around to playing it too soon (even though it's high on my "to buy" list, since I've only played the first part of Baldur's Gate 1)...so I guess not in.

Nevertheless, I did want to offer my sympathies and best wishes at a difficult time.
As it happens, a good friend of mine just left the planet a week and a half ago, but after the viewing this past weekend, his family had an "after-life party," with good, (loud) music and good food, to celebrate who he had been. They felt strongly that he wouldn't want everyone being too consumed with their grief...and it was kind of nice, even though we were also sad.
Thought I'd share the sentiment about remembering that as bad as things are, there are always some good things to recall, even if they are only small things.
