I enjoyed the gamespot shows before Mark Gershtman left. They weren't always the best, but they were fun to watch and had people with a genuine interest in gaming. The G4 stuff seems all...fake. I'd take rough editing and not so slick visuals if I could just have real people really interested in real games.
You know each person tends to have a game that might be considered bad by others but they love to death, right? That could be a segment. Or "Life beyond games" because, believe it or not, for most people gaming isn't everything. (Not that the G4 shows would want you to think that...) One that doesn't treat all gamers as lifeless nerds living in the basement of their mom's house...seriously, I am sick of that. Gaming TV tends to just push that on to people too. All my gaming friends have spouses and kids (and quite beautiful spouses at that.) It would be nice to have the stereotypes busted imho.
No, youre not the only one that thinks ZP isnt funny. I think he sucks actually. He is just a one-trick pony, and not a very good one either. He is a paid street entertainer, those that you see doing funny tricks while people toss him coins. His "reviews" got tired pretty quick too.
