deejrandom: Am I the only one that thinks the zero punctuation stuff just isn't as funny as everyone seems to think it is? I mean I could see how it would make a crappy game show, because it isn't as witty as the writer want's people to believe. I mean I know funny and I think ZP tends to be more condescending then funny.
I enjoyed the gamespot shows before Mark Gershtman left. They weren't always the best, but they were fun to watch and had people with a genuine interest in gaming. The G4 stuff seems all...fake. I'd take rough editing and not so slick visuals if I could just have real people really interested in real games.
You know each person tends to have a game that might be considered bad by others but they love to death, right? That could be a segment. Or "Life beyond games" because, believe it or not, for most people gaming isn't everything. (Not that the G4 shows would want you to think that...) One that doesn't treat all gamers as lifeless nerds living in the basement of their mom's house...seriously, I am sick of that. Gaming TV tends to just push that on to people too. All my gaming friends have spouses and kids (and quite beautiful spouses at that.) It would be nice to have the stereotypes busted imho.
