I will install DOSBox here in laptop. which games do you guys recommend?
Post edited June 27, 2009 by Drelmanes
Games from here, or just generally games that run on DosBox?
Games that are on GOG:
Fallout 1+2
Jagged Alliance 2
Beyond Good and Evil
+ many more!
Other than those stand-out ones, I'd have to know what sort of games you like, shooters, RPGs, racing games or what?
I'm sure you'll get plenty of suggestions though!
Morning :)
The games on GoG that need DosBox already have it :)

Since, like others have said, the GOG games that run through DOSBox already include it, I'm going to assume you mean non-GOG games.
That being the case, I'll recommend Crusader: No Remorse any day of the week, although it might be a bit awkward to control with a laptop keyboard, depending on how big the laptop is. But that's still according to my tastes. You may not even like that type of game. So, as Andy_Panthro said, what kinds of games do you like?
Slightly off-topic, but I use D-Fend Reloaded for all my non GOG games (Tie Fighter, Bioforge, Syndicate etc).
It's basically a GUI front end for DOSBox, but it allows you do link videos, PDF Manuals, screenshots and if you can be bothered (by installing NSIS) it will package up your games and extras into one executable (almost identical to how GOG deliver their game packages).

I use D-Fend as well.

plus it has preset profiles for lots of games... though they aren't always perfect.
I've had numerous issues with "D-Fend Reloaded", both getting it to run then link to games properly, and many things on a clutter/usability point. Drove me nuts enough, I tracked down an archived CD with D-Fend (original) on it. But I guess I'm in a minority here.

Uhm, it's been a while since I've updated it. Quite possibly, the version I have isn't "reloaded", whatever that means. At least, I've never heard of it being able to "compile" the games into single installer files.

screenshots attached, they don't look much different, but (from my experience) reloaded is more hassle than it is worth.

Yeah, it's definitely the original I'm using, not the reloaded one.
i guess it depends what games you like... but if you are playing on a laptop then personally i'd avoid flight sims or RTS games as i'd imagine they are a pain in the butt with a touchpad.
(unless you just mean playing at home with a mouse/joystiq/whatever..)
I'd go for Adventure Games, Platformers, things like that.
