I think there is a patch for Planescape that lets you enter custom resolutions?

indeed there is and you can literally have any resolution you want. similar patch exist for every IE game.

fallout 1 and 2 also have similar patch

Thanks for helping, everyone. It seems there won't be a lot of games to trouble me. Yet, I'm not sure. I sent word to the store that I want to return the notebook. That should give me more time to think, as I can still cancel the canceling.

I'm also a little worried about newer games. The notebook isn't a powerhouse, and I will probably have to run some on low resolution too, so this limitation is on both ends. Gotta think...
