I've created this topic following crazy_dave's advice / suggestion - maybe he is right. :)

Here is direct link to request created by me - please click and vote.
Please add confirmation message after sending info to support by using form on web page.

People are getting confused now as after clicking send button there is no "thank you" or "message mailed" information - it just goes to previous page as if nothing had happened.
I think it is important for GOG.com to make that thing as clear as possible - in last few days I saw at least three different topics created by confused people. They weren't sure if GOG.com's support will get their messages as there was no confirmation text after they clicked "send" button - page just returned back to support starting choices.

I'm sure there was such confirmation text in the past (displayed on green border) but sadly since a few months it is not working any more.

Also, as I said in comment, it could be good to have an option to get copy our support message on our mail.
I second this. It's a ridiculous bug to have floating around, especially since it's been there for a long time now. All the regulars know about it, and so aren't bothered by it (much), but since the latest site/service revamp, a lot of new people are coming in. They can't be expected to know all the long-time bugs here (that noone seems to be doing anything to fix), so in the interest of not scaring away potential customers, fix your damned support interface, GOG.

And while we're at it, remember the support message tab in the account section, that you "removed temporarily in order to fix a bug" more than a year ago? Where is it?

Seems like they just write directly to your email now because I had an issue I sent in to support and I did not see a flag. Checked my email and there was a message from GOG support waiting for me.

more than a year ago - I don't think I've seen that option since my time here :(

I also up-voted this when, before making my own feature request for the exact same thing, I checked to make sure someone had not already made one and I found that Lexor had indeed done so. So thank you Lexor for bringing this up!

GOG support is friendly and helpful, but I think this is a really important thing for GOG to fix.

Sometimes it takes them a long time to send that e-mail, any kind of confirmation system that your support request has been received and gone through okay would alleviate a lot of the worry over wether or not a bug happened - especially for people using the support system for the first time.

I also like the idea of the support system making use of the PMs (maybe using both PM and e-mail since PMs don't always seem to send an e-mail when you're offline - or has that been fixed?) - especially if each ticket had its own message thread in the PM so that it would be easy to keep track of the bug and the status of who said what when on GOG itself.

That is quite likely, since you registered in October 2010, and they removed the tab in October 2010.

I know they said that "it might take some time", but... A year and a half? That's ridiculous!

That is more or less exactly how it used to work.
I assumed getting this all sorted out was going to be part of the latest re-launch. Pretty disappointing that it wasn't.

Yeah... "Attention: MAJOR site update! New indie releases! Support system still broken!"

Go figure :-/
Our web devs are aware of this glitch and will look into it as soon as they can. We haven't added confirmation e-mails yet, but the site should display a confirmation message after sending a ticket.

How about the support tab on the account page? Has it been "some time" yet? ;-p

Great!

I hope you guys can reinstate the support ticket-PM system too (one day?), that would be awesome ...
