Please help us make GOG.com a better place and get Realms of Arkania 1+2 for free.

Short version:
1. Complete the survey below.

WTB Magic candle series now thats a game im willing to lets play same with any old Gold box Dragonlance titles - wish they we're on here - i got the games legit although i dont have a floppy drive anymore so just got em off abandonware would be nice to see em on here tho

There are many awesome oldies that you could bring to GOG ... Spellcross, Emperor of the Fading Suns, Pax Imperia 2, Albion, Cold Zero, Crimson Skies, Earthsiege 1 & 2, Missionforce Cyberstorm, Wizardry 7 & 8, Alien Legacy, Warhammer 40k Chaos Gate, Warhammer 40k Final Liberation, ...

and I'd buy those immediately. The new games are just distracting. I'm all in favor of helping promoting small developers and independent games or bringing games from big developers without DRM (Farcry 2), but the releases of old games slowed down to a crawl compared to what it was before these new-ish games were introduced to GOG list.

Must I go digging up the numbers again? Same number of oldies released, bigger number of games released, for a similar time period. TET did the numbers, I did the numbers, at least one other member did the numbers. Older games are released in the same numbers as before, only now we also have newer games as well.
I will dig up the posts if you want, or you can take my word for it.

El principal impedimento para mi es el idioma. Hablo español y si el juego salió en español pero en gog no esta esta disponible en español no lo compro.
Y asi es para casi todos los juegos en gog :(.
Por eso tengo varios juegos en steam por el multilenguaje. (Aunque tambien en steam hay algunos en ingles que si salieron en español).
Compraria varios juegos en gog inmediatamente si estubieran en español.

The main impediment for me is the language. I speak Spanish and if the game was in Spanish but gog not available in Spanish do not buy it.
And so it is for almost all games gog: (.
So I have several games on steam for multilanguage. (Although there are some also in steam if left in English in Spanish).
Gog buy several games immediately if you were in Spanish.
I apologize for my English. I'm using google translator.

billy13: Happy to fill out the survey - to be honest the absolute highlight of GoG for me so far has been Legend of Grimrock which I absolutely love. The low point way buying MESSIAH, which was utter crap and doesn't even work properly.

I suppose the problem is that there are only so many classics that can be released.... however now would be an excellent time to release Hostile Waters, System Shock 1&2, Terra Nova and to sign a deal with Lucas Arts.

People like to moan no matter what, because its the popular route to take
Game popular or have a hard fanbase = you can be sure suddenly a great number of people start hating it for no particcular reason than its popular to do so.

Example 2:
GoG Was named Good old Games in the past so therfore some people have to dislike there coming new games because its blasphemy to do otherwise and its popular or difrent to dislike it.

Im pretty sure they woudnt had all the same complaints if they had a difrent name
but then they wouud have other complaints.

I had this same dilemma answering that question. My case is from 2006, my motherboard is from 2008, but my processor, power supply, and video card are almost brand new. I chose "1-3 years" as kind of a middle point. Though choosing the "brand new" option would likely have been just as informative.

I have parts from the mid 90's still in use in my machines. I chose age according to the most recent major upgrade (i.e., CPU, RAM, motherboard or GPU, that would drastically change the performance). That I've got an 1988 PS/2 Keyboard doesn't make the machine 25 years old when I changed motherboard, CPU and RAM 2½ years ago.

just forgot to request at the survey,I wanna add "revival of the request section" .That function was very useful as easy to put a new title that I wish to have in GOG,also I could view what titles are requested by other people and it's so direct way between GOG team and us.

Alliser: Oh, I forgot to admit that as german user would be very, very happy if it's possible to buy a game in different languages beside english. I think other users would also prefer a game in their mother language.

Yes, I am.
I don't want to buy the games in german (and yes, i am german). That's why i'm buying at gog, so i can buy the game in the original uk version.
How needs a german version?
I do not mean games which are only available in germany as a cutted version or like acutall Rise of the Triads which is indexed (?) in germany and at least not available on any regular way any more. This is a point what I don't want to be changed or I almost see no need to change it. Otherwise it is still comfortable to choose between different versions in different languages, no offense.

But at games like (in this thread-case) Realms of Arkania aka. DSA I would really prefer a german version with the german text files and so on. Also on a lot of strategy games with a lot of text files it would be better me, not for you of course.

I understand why you prefer the original UK version, but for me those versions are only more interesting when a) the german version is different/cutted or b) there is a lot of spoken audio files which I prefer also in the original (english) way then in a (mostly) much lamer german one.

I hope I could make my point clear.
