Birthday fun and gifts (for you!)
GOG.com 5th birthday celebration continues, and we came up with some fun activities essential to every nerd party in the universe. Namely, we want to play some trivia with you! There will be prizes, of course, because there have to be gifts in a birthday celebration. Since it is our party, you get to keep the gifts! We wouldn't have it any other way. But, just to make it more fun, you'll have to put some effort into getting them. For the next couple of days (let's say: until Sunday), we'll post a daily activity for you. A quiz, a puzzle, some trivia--you know: fun stuff. Each day you'll get a chance to prove your gaming knowledge and familiarity with GOG.com for a chance to get some free games. Our activity of choice today: word search!

UPDATE:
We got word from our support, that some users aren't sure where they should send the answers. Let's pretend that finding the e-mail address on the picture below is a little warm-up exercise before the actual word search. If you can't handle that task, there's probably not much point in wasting your time looking for the 40 titles. And one more thing: we didn't notice it ourselves, but there's actually 41 hidden titles in the picture (apart from the highlighted "FEZ"). That's because one of the longer ones contains another one, shorter. Still--we don't expect more than 40, and that gives you a bit of an advantage.

GOG.com Birthday Word Search

You've got time until Thursday, September 26, at 14:59PM GMT. That's 24 hours. Have fun! :-)

I wonder how many of us printed the puzzle. I sure did.

I for one did not. Stayed up late trying to find the 40 words. I think I found 40 + FEZ.

I did and used a marker. Seemed much easier this way, though I only found 27 games (FEZ included).

I found "Gimped" and "Sad Earl", and although they're not games, they definitely should be.
I managed to find 39 + FEZ (and that includes the "word within the word" one). I look forward to seeing the final solution, because I can't find the remaining two and I'm too tired to keep on going.
I found all 41... hope I win =)
Found 41 too. Is it too late to get an insta-win? Hope not!

EDIT: I also sent'em as they appeared written in the puzzle, I didn't take the time to rewrite them more properly, I hope it is not a problem.

Damn, just sent in my list with 40, I was hoping that Fez counted,
Suppose I'll have to keep looking. :(

Edit: Well, I found 41 now, time to send it in again. See if GOG accepts it.

I found 43 game words (included FEZ)
I really hope I can win.
After this one is done, it would be interesting to see the last game folks found.

JMich: I'm actually a bit dissappointed that GOG didn't add games from the wishlist in the grid. Would be fun finding "Wasteland" in the grid for example, or "Gods" and having to double check if the game was released on GOG or not.
Not to mention that it should have included VVVVV in the grid ;)
Especially if it were 5 "V"s... That game's name is made of 6 "V"s. Hell of a red herring. Nobody would be devious enough to do that.

... then again, someone was devious enough to choose some games that were incredibly hard to find when compared to every other game.
Ugh, 38. What's worse is I have 11,9,9,9 so I don't know which of the 3 others have the two I'm missing.

Hmm... wait, is there actually a word in a word in the 40, if so I might be attacking this from the right angle.

Aha I found 41... including the word within a word, not sure if that's legit or not. Well, since I'm only in for the 20 I'll just say it's right and be happy.

Finally
sigh, how many hours had I put into looking for the very last one......and just kept bumping into it but reading it the wrong way.....
I liked this puzzle, but the "first 40 entrants" part was really frustrating for me. I had to take an extended lunch break to solve this as fast as possible, and I got stuck for an hour on the very last title. I never found it and the only reason I gave up was to get back to work, and needless to say I had other things in mind. I had to stay there super late too because of that.

Next time I would appreciate if you could make contests that are not based on who answers first. I understand rewarding the best brains and the thrill of a race, but it's pretty unfair for those that are busy at work or just plain sleeping because of time zone differences.

I'm curious to see which title I overlooked. I bet it's something either really obscure or really dumb.
Done. The last two were annoying. But I suppose that's how it is. 40+Fez sent in with Arma as a wink wink.

At the very least I get to be in the drawing but I'm hoping that 40 people didn't solve this already.
