Roman5: Time to repost my image

Just another day at GOG...
It's gonna happen, especially with new people here, who like myself just skim the stickies. ;) Also, I'm surprised you mentioned Spy Fox in that picture.

That's why I'll keep reposting it every time we get one of these threads

Also: I freaking love Spy Fox, I really wish the Humongous titles would make it to GOG someday. Since Atari owns them now, let's hope it will happen soon! :)

Snickersnack: Thief 1 & 2 are difficult to get running on modern hardware too.

Pemptus: Not really true anymore. Tafferpatcher and ddfix make Thief 1&2 playable with a minimum of fuss and fiddling. Check out the technical section of the TTLG forums.

It's perhaps worth noting that T1&2 have an active fanmission community, and there are dozens of user missions and campaigns available that match and surpass the quality of the original campaigns. Literally hundreds of hours of entertainment.
If only that were the case. :(

I've experimented with ddfix before and had no luck. I can persuade RE1 PC, FF7 PC, and Jedi Knight to run on the same hardware.

It looks like Tafferpatcher uses ddfix.

Hopefully my case is exceptional. Thief 1 & 2 are classics.

In case you didn't know (I've mentioned it several times on here), I grew up with Dry Cereal, but mostly Pajama Sam, Freddi Fish, and Putt-Putt. So hell yes I want to see Humongous Entertainment on here. Thing is, No Need to Hide When It's Dark Outside was released for the Wii for like 20 bucks, so I'm not sure if Atari would make them available on PC for what they should be, ie 6 bucks each or some bundles.

Aw, sorry about that. I take it you've read all the customary faqs and help threads on the ttlg forums? The newer ddfix has quite a bit of options in its ini file, might want to fiddle with that.

Thief 1&2 are games that are really worth fighting for, hence my fervor. :D
Thing is though Gog usually likes to make games playable on newer OSs(at least Vista/XP) upon RELEASE to the buyer, not after the buyer is directed to a patch site. This would mean Gog would either have to negotiate to use those fixes in it's releases or make it's own.
i have them all on disk.... and i can attest that it is sort of a pain to get working....
if its not a shooter?? what exactly would you say an arrow does? thwack? its a first person thwacking game? you play it first person you thwack arrows its a game.. clearly a FPT
Long live FIRST PERSON THWACK
