Dear GOG,

I know you've had a rough week. I mean heck, you pretty much slept through half of it. These things happen sometimes. I understand. Really, I do.

Ever since you've come back though, we just don't talk like we used to. I asked you to tell me whenever you've got any news or promos to share, but you've given me the cold shoulder and have refused to write to me any this week.

Last night I came over to your place and asked if I could buy Gabriel Knight 3 off of you. After giving you my billing information, you just kind of stared back at me with a blank white page-y kind of look. You wouldn't even acknowledge that I wanted to make a purchase. You used to write to me when I came over to buy stuff, but I didn't get any mail.

Fortunately, I do have the game. So the purchase worked, I guess? It's hard to tell when you don't talk to me. I wish you would say something, like what I did that has offended you so greatly. I'm sorry for whatever I've done, honest. I just want our relationship to be like it was before, before you claimed to be a changed website.

Is that too much to ask?

Sincerely yours,
Macnbc

P.S. This letter was written with tongue firmly in cheek. Though I wish GOG would acknowledge my purchase and start sending me e-mail again.

You know, you could just have said the site's not working very well at your end and asked if anyone else was having the same problems.

To which I could have replied yes, such problems are very common. So be glad your purchase went through as that's really the best you can hope for right now. Let's hope that next week things are running smoother.
Post deserves 1 million rep points. +1rep
I got e-mail confirmations for the last three or four games I've purchased in the last couple of days, plus the Teenagent and Lure of the Temptress, which were both free.

You are not the only one having the "white page of death" problem (see the thread below), they (GoG support) are looking into it.

With all this time GOG spent primping, you could AT LEAST compliment the look of her new main page... or tell her how good her new GOGmixes match her filters.

But noooo... You want to get straight into buying games, not even taking the time to caress her wishlist or talk dirty with the reviews.

She's been under a lot of stress lately, the likes of which she's never experienced before. It's understandable that she might not be "in the mood", but she still cares and needs your support more than ever.
Best topic I've seen so far.
I'm probably generalising here, but this topic sounds perfect for Coala to drop by and say hello.

I'd love to praise her but after she took my money three days ago I can only even look at her pretty pages if I am not logged in at all. Logged in I can only look at the forum, not even the website home page will talk to me, I only know the sale went through, I can't get close to the download screen for the game I purchased.

Why should I? I spend my time and money on her, and all she does is pretty herself up for the other guys out there whenever she leaves the house. I tried, but it was never enough! :)

Kudos to the OP. This is actually a fun little thread. :)
*giggles* This topic is win!
