Hello,

So far I only have oldies at GoG. And I am wondering how GoG handles the support of new games (indies). Are they updated once in a while or, on the contrary, does the installer follows all the versions the devs make?

Thanks
Gilou
For FTL, I vaguely recall the devs mentioning somewhere that they mostly kept their official and Steam version up to date and let the GOG team update their own version.

So, the GOG version trailed a bit behind on the updates, but the GOG team progressively updated their version too.

My guess overall is that the GOG version isn't as straightforward to update for the devs due to the lack of direct developer control over it, but if you aren't overly impatient, the GOG team will update their version some time after the official patches are released.

It didn't take too long for FTL.

They provide a patch for them. For the Giana Sisters there's a Universal Update Patch under the install file, and it states what version it intends to update. I haven't used it, since I installed the recent installer, but it is pretty much install it as you wish.
