Psyringe: No offense, but the demand for such games on GOG seems to be extremely low. In fact, I see only one person requesting them, and that would be you. Each couple of months, you open a thread that GOG "needs" to offer casual games / games for kids / etc., and each time most of the community disagrees more or less politely.

Why do you keep doing this?
I agree with this. I play a lot of 'casual' games, but there is quite a lot of dedicated stores for them, and it is not any problems getting them for a price I consider fair. I see no point, really, in gog diluting even further its brand identity. Same reason I do not see BigFish starting to flog Steam keys, there is a right place for everything.
The original Tetris would be okay, I guess...

ne_zavarj: I don't care about Angry Birds or games made for phones or tablets . I was talking about games that were made for Pc / Mac .

Elmofongo: Not too familiar with PC/Mac Casual Games, any examples?
The ones that come to mind for me are all the hidden object games. They are terrible, taking the worst part of an adventure game(pixel hunting) and making a game focusing on only that terrible part. Static screens where you have to look around and find objects. They can be called games only in a very very loose definition of the term.

I agree that GOG doesn't need these casual "games". I have zero interest in them and would resent the space they take up while browsing for real games
FYI since this thread started I've reinstalled all of my Luxor games (1-3) my Microsoft Card and Board games, Peggle, and the 7 Wonders Trilogy.

Tell me GOG doesn't run my life! :P

Peggle <3
I personally wouldn't mind if they start adding some "casual games" as long as they continue to go for quality rather than quantity. There's good games in any genre; besides, is there even an official definition of just what the term "casual game" means? I'm sure some of the games already on here would qualify for this category.

Anyhow, that said, I'm sure we can all agree that nobody here really wants casual games to become the main focus of GOG. ( Probably wouldn't be feasible anyway, since there's already more popular sites for that sort of thing. )
The casual term is usually related to simple gameplay mechanics, easy learning curves and the possibility of short play sessions. And that's all, it doesn't define the genre or the quality of the game, it doesn't say anything about the size of the company behind it or its development budget.

PopCap about PvZ: "At the moment, we'd estimate that at least half of all buyers of PvZ would fall into the 'hardcore' category."

keeveek: GOG should start offering classic games.
they already do.
Why is the OP downrated ?

Licurg: Why is the OP downrated ?
I just noticed that myself. WTF
It's interesting how many people seems to have that ONE THING they want to see on GOG more than anything else. I have Humongous Entertainment pnc adventures, ne_zavarj has casual games, Barry has indie titles, Licurg has Carmageddon 2, keeveek has Emperor, megarock58 has LucasArts, plenty of people have Grim Fandango, etc.
Yeah, downepping is unnecessary. He's expressing his opinion in a polite manner.
Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing such games here, but whether I would buy them or not would depend on their price.
