Wishbone: Presumably, the official "Steambox" will be more expensive ;-)
And the logo will be an apple? :P

I said "more expensive", not "mid-range hardware priced like a black-market kidney".
No. GoG needs to stay as far away from Valve as they can and not get hooked into the DRM-heavy subscription that is Steam.

The most I could ask for is for Valve to put their games on here, but that's wishful thinking.

Also too lazy so I'll just quote what others have said:
No
I'd rather they didn't.
Umm yeah...NO!
No

Lot of Xbox controller support on GOG games is there?

It'd be damned hard to play Space Quest with one, that's for sure.

True which is funny since Zork seems to be playable with a controller.

That is... not Zork. That has to be the weirdest port of a game I've ever seen.

You do know I was not being serious. But I do agree that is one weird port..it is cool that they kept it text based and used graphics in the background though.

You'd have to creatively type out commands using only the letters A, B, X, and Y.
Steambox will propably end up looking something like oversize mac mini, get some free linux distro and pwn consoles.

If you can play same games at your sofa with steambox + game controller like many do with consoles now, have better graphics than dated consoles AND play the very same games on desktop computer.... Well, I think many casual gamers could be drawn to something like that, when they notice that the next gen consoles will likely flop.

However, I dont see steambox as competitor to GoG - casual console players wont buy from GoG and most likely wont buy later either.

Some interesting speculation:
