I am a new user here at GOG and I would like to ask older users (or maybe GOG staff) if there is plan for a big autumn sale (or whatever it may be called) as is going on right now on Steam.
Did anything similar happen last year?
I prefer GOG much more than Steam but some offers are quite tempting.
If GOG plans something similar I will definitely save my money.
Thanks

I'd like to know this as well.

GoG has all year sale. They discount everything so much it costs only up to 10 bucks :-P

I wouldn't expect any big sales before the Christmas sale.
GOG has done very large sales in the past (last christmas one for example). I wouldn't count them out.

They don't have the clout of steam that can organise this kind of sale, however if there are GOG titles you want, from GOG as opposed to steam, I'd suggest waiting. There isn't a title I haven't seen on sale a few times within the time I've been here (bar recently released)
Gog's sale last Christmas was epic-sized. Probably around half their catalog was discounted for a week or two. I think almost every game on my wishlist was 30-60% off, except for those D&D rpgs.

I hope we'll have something else like it this year! But my wallet doesn't lol.

Yeah, last year's Christmas sale was great.

Almost every game I wanted was on sale for half price.
I would guess they will do a Christmas sale when they pack up and leave for home and no new titles are coming out. Probably December 20-something until the January 5th or so.
Ah, don't forget the Summer Hidden Gem promo that put 60% off on a different game each day for like three weeks. Here is a link. Other than that, typically the year end sale is the other long term one that hits multiple publishers.

Look for sales every weekend as well as the first and third Wednesday of the month.
I think with GoG they don't have as much flexibility in terms of lowering their prices due to the way they have to negotiate the game licensing. Perhaps this new 'new' GOG initiative is a way for them to get newer stuff into their library from publishers which might allow them some leeway in terms of pricing structure.
Yeah the XMAS sales are amazing.. i usually can knock out a handful from the wishlist then... im hoping to see a "new" title come this xmas or newyears... cant wait!
They'll have another 50% off the entire catalog sale and everyone will do back flips like they weren't expecting it and it's the best thing ever. People will claim to buy fifty+ games despite already owning 99% of the GOG catalog and then proceed to do the same next year when they own 99.999999% of the GOG catalog.

From what I remember it was entire catalog (including just released D&D games) with the exception of Interplay games.
"Sorry kids, no money for Christmas presents this year, the was a GOG Xmas promo."

Is GOG doing this on purpose? I'm usually the most broke around January or so due to Christmas, many annual bills coming either in December or January etc. I was even thinking of going abroad with my gf on January, but now I may have to skip that too!

I really wish I already owned 99.9999% of GOG games like the one guy said. Now I am only at around 140+, and there are still quite a few games that I'm interested in getting, at least RPGs and maybe some strategy games. Most racing games I can pass, I guess.

This.

And it started at the beginning of December (not sure which day), so it was way before Steam sale.
