Anyone know if GOG plan to have a end of year big sale or something? I was about to buy a whole bunch of stuff on my wishlist and thought I might wait.

No one knows, outside GOG staff of course, but yes, there will be a Christmas sale.

In past years the entire catalogue has been offered at a 50% discount. With their recent trend of branching out into different kinds of promos, we'll have to wait and see what happens.
Fair enough
Here's hoping the site-wide discount is 60% off this year, like it's been for numerous promos in the past couple of months!
A base discount would be just fine by me, though I wouldn't be opposed to other promos. I'm not a big fan of the stacking or progressive promo system, but I wouldn't mind seeing a repeat of the community voted discounts we had some time back, only I think it needs to be between more than just 2 games. Say 3 or more games, the highest voted gets the highest discount, the second highest gets a modest discount, etc.
considering that GOG includes games you already own into account for the stacking discount, and that I own a fair bit of them, I wouldn't be against a massive stacking discount. I would kill my wishlist in one swoop.

I almost hope they'll just do a "Merry Christmas and other celebrations, everyone, no promo this year =( ^_^ )=" so the forums will get filled with bile about expectations and waiting 2 years for that Christmas promo that never came and so ruined Christmas and all the other celebrations anyone might have planned.

I just get bored so easily around Christmas. :p

I sure as hell don't get bored. Days off usually mean more work for days I do work, plus I go back home and I have an extremely busy schedule to meet all my friends&family before going back. It's pretty tiring, actually.

Lately the frequency of sales even increased. I would be surprised and a bit miffed if they hadn't an at least 50% sale on at least 90% of the catalogue until the end of the year.
And wouldn't it be nice if GOG gifted us a randomly selected item from our wishlists?

You trippin' dude?

But I wouldn't be surprised if there was a free game giveaway on GOG's part.

A man needs dreams to live, too. Plus, it's fact that it would be nice. Even if we know it will never happen.

It might be nice if GOG picked a few people at random and dropped a wishlist game on them (Steam did this to me two years ago), but doing it for everybody would be absurd.
