K, back home now. Here's some examples of what I've done.

Starting off with some short ones (ranging from under a minute to a minute and a half):
-Done yesterday in about two hours, here's one that only uses samples my girlfriend recorded; this includes beating a paper ark, slapping my biceps and a single note in different pitches. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/135436/DiseasedProject/Other/Nina.mp3
-Kirby's Dreamland Green Greens metal version some people seem to have liked: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lKnEolDSHs
-Pseudo chiptune: It has Gameboy sounds only, though I've included effects such as reverb. This one was meant for an action game me and some friends were going to do, although the project's been put on indefinite hold at the moment. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/135436/Nessii2.mp3
-Simple Celtic/folkish stuff made for a retro CRPG. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/135436/DiseasedProject/Zodiac/Town1.mp3

Then some "real" songs that aren't just a minute long:
-Christina Aguilera's Genie in a Bottle metal version with the original vocal track: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vPygxN5X_w
-Melodic death metal with really terrible, thought in a whim lyrics; they're in Finnish though so perhaps most people won't mind: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/135436/DiseasedProject/Vihaan_ja_rakastan.mp3
-A bit of my older stuff: A remix of some of the music in the SNES game Adventures of Batman & Robin https://dl.dropbox.com/u/135436/DiseasedProject/Amused_To_Death.mp3
-Final metal piece today; a collab with a friend who did most of the lyrics and helped with the vocals. Translating to "Virgin Mary in birdshit", the song was influenced by all those really stupid news about Jesus appearing in French toast and whatnot. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/135436/DiseasedProject/NeitsytMariaLinnunpaskassa.mp3
-My first real try at electronica / techno with an 80's influence: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Rjh2HK65po
-Don't really know the genre of this...it's something smooth I guess. I think it's one of my personal faves; watch out for your speaker volume in the end though https://dl.dropbox.com/u/135436/DiseasedProject/Aaneti_Hankeen_Hukkunut_Taistelu_Elamasta.mp3
-A happy, melodic song about the times when life was simpler, https://dl.dropbox.com/u/135436/DiseasedProject/Young_Boy_Embarks_On_A_Marvellous_Adventure.mp3

And to finish my self-promotion, a short christmasy song https://dl.dropbox.com/u/135436/DiseasedProject/Aminnelsefest.mp3

I've got well over a hundred more of which I'll gladly share in the odd chance someone found any of these above enjoyable. I mostly do these for my own pleasure and amusement, but it never hurts if other people like them too.

Azilut: Mine's a Moog Etherwave. Not the professional model, though (no sense buying a performance-grade instrument until I'm good enough to perform).
Still more professional than mine. Mine looks more like this, but with those floating triangles flat on the box and pointing toward each other. Basically impossible to play actual notes

I haven't looked into models very much, but it would be interesting to get a nicer one sometime.

Azilut: I did give one stage performance with it. We were doing a stage production of Shakespeare's "as you like it", and the director had this weird (and hilarious) tendency to take my sarcastic suggestions seriously. By the end of it, I was playing the theremin on-stage while wearing a karate gi, a luchador mask and a viking helmet.
That sounds hilarious!

DieRuhe: I played guitar until I fractured the middle finger on my left hand. :-(

SirPrimalform: Damn... didn't it heal properly?
No, flexibility-wise. You know how if you make a really tight "claw" with your fingers you can touch the tips to your palm? That finger doesn't do it; I can't get it any closer than a finger's width away. I can still get the bottom two strings, but not the other four. Maybe I should pull a Hendrix.
Me and my brother just put out our cd on itunes and cd baby (DKKB). The guitar riffs and music are very much like rage against the machine. The singing has very much been labeled like Jim Morrison from the Doors. All the songs were made by me with my brother helping with a few. I sing and play guitar. My brother plays bass, drums, and sings sometimes too. These are the song names:

1-Bad Day of Work
2-Revenge Served Cold
3-Mallrats
4-I'm Coming for You
5-The Wanderer
6- Idle Mind
7-Momentum
8-Stay in the Light
9-Nothing to Lose
10-Work all day kill all night

This is the link to our music if anyone is interested-http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/kevinbeachemdavekrausser

Its also under itunes as well under the band name-DKKB-Band of Brothers.

There's a Kickstarter going right now from the fellow GOGer CymTyr.

I urge all interested to check it out and, if possible, support it with 5 bucks for the digital copy of his album.

Ah no! Do you think it's tissue stiffness or a bit of bone blocking movement? If that happened to me I'd be asking my doctor if there was anything anyone could do.

Well, the fracture went into the middle joint, so the knuckle is always going to be a bit out of shape, and the tip tends to pull to the right a bit when I bend it. The doc didn't think that surgery would necessarily make anything better, so unless I demand it I'm pretty much stuck. It did happen at work, though, so now I'm just waiting for them to finalize everything and provide the estimation of permanent damage. But of course they like to drag their heels when it comes to giving people money. :-)

Good luck! I'd be pretty broken up if I couldn't play music any more (the vast majority of the instruments I play are fretted stringed instruments).

Thanks. Maybe I'll take up drums. :-)
Hello everyone.

A few days ago I decided to post some of my own music on ReverbNation. If anyone cares to have a listen, you can find my profile at
http://www.reverbnation.com/adambiser

These are just things I've written and recorded over the years. They hold more of a personal value for me than what I expect others to get from them, but I figured that it wouldn't hurt anything to put a few up. I will try to post more as I can. I have a lot of recordings and song ideas laying around (more than 1000), but very few that I would even consider letting anyone else listen to.

Oh and necroposting FTW! (I'm actually surprised I could find this thread... but Google site search won the day.)
