And here we go, the strangest Mafia game to date. There will be many changes from your usual game. Read ahead so you know what you're getting into.

First off, I need 14 people instead of the usual 12. Secondly, any restrictions in your role PM are to be followed without question, and any flavor must be kept in mind because nine times out of ten it WILL affect the game at some point. Third, roles will not be assigned randomly, but based on experience. There are several quite fragile roles which I'm unwilling to give out to newer players. Lastly, almost none of what you would expect from past mafia games is present here. I expect even seasoned players will be thrown off, muddled, turned around and baffled. Beginners are welcomed, but should be aware that it will be a very strange ride and shouldn't inform future GOG Mafia experiences.

My prediction:
It's not going to be too different to the previous games.
A few slight perks, like the increased numbers allowing for better use of third party or other minority roles.
It's just a big build up to try to make us ignore the conventions that have built up....

I don't mean to seem rude but this game hinges so heavily on the willingness of players to strictly follow the rules and you're such a contrarian in nature that I don't think this game is for you. Try in the next mafia game maybe, this one's extremely sensitive to even small mistakes. Not meaning to be a bitch but this is an experiment and I'm trying to be extremely careful with it.

If mafia newbies are welcome, count me in as well :)
