Moreover, the vigilante role seems to exist, and the Old Bessie reference could have just been adding a bit of spice. Whereas the nerd rage ability is a tangible function as it were, that does not seem to exist anywhere else.

In the middle of the night you are awoken by a loud bang. "Seems the mafia are still at it", you think to yourself, before you roll over and go back to sleep.

The mafia are indeed still at it. When you get to the town square the next morning, nmillar is missing, Searching his house, you find him still in bed, shot through the head. Next to him lies an old Mauser with a note on it. "Thank you for lending me your gun."

So, a new day dawns, and our kind nmillar has fallen prey to the last mafia member. A true shame :(

Anyhow, we cannot go without some speculation, even in the first post on the day :p

Since we're down to 5, and we have one mafia member left, I think it's wise to first look at those who did NOT vote for Titanium.

I'll start with eyeball, who seemed reluctant to vote for Titanium, but ultimately offered to hammer him should the deadline be too close. In the end, Dominic smashed the final nail into Titanium's coffin, leaving eyeball without possibility of fulfilling his promise. This can be considered two ways - he was just concerned still with Titanium being townie (Possibly outright convinced he was), or he was a mafia attempting to save face. I'm not personally sure, but his promise does make him slightly less suspecious than GoJay.

This brings me to GoJays, the only one who did NOT comment on Titanium's alleged "Nerd Rage" ability and the one single person to never talk directly about Titanium in said mafia's last hours. He is also very drawn back and quiet - perhaps he has something to hide? GoJays has hinted at working at Town Hall, leading me think he is hinting at a secretary role, or a town hall official role. He then says he is the only last remaining law official (Or last one who could be considered as such), but both roles I think he hints at are not law officials in any conceivable way. If he was either of those, he would be just as much of a law enforcer as me, and I'm just a simple teacher!

I'm not sure, but my prime suspect at this moment is GoJays. I cannot say I consider Nazarush or Dominic to be the final mafia. Dominic mostly because of him hammering Titanium, and Nazarush because he saw Titanium for what he was.

And I, in turn think you are probably town based on how willing you were to cooperate in nmillar's scumhunting. As for suspicions, I have so far read through the first 17 pages or so of this thread looking for a connection between our 2 confirmed mafia members and someone else who would then be the third, but I didnt notice any obvious cooperation between them and anyone else. Hopefully later pages will reveal more.

Damnation, you make some good points about GoJays, and you have also made me think of something. We now no Zchinque included more than cop or doctor in this game, another common role would be a mafia godfather. If the last mafia member was this, a town hall official would be thematically appropriate for a scum role that appears innocent. This is just speculation for now though, I wouldn't say that I have a leading suspect yet.

Good point. I was actually going to say something about this myself, since I had TWO chances at the deciding vote for Titanium. I actually did say something about him at the end but due to a couple of seconds of bad timing ended up after the final vote (now in my mind Dominic's odds of being a townie is 99-100%... sorry about all that suspicion earlier).

As I said... I'm not a law enforcer, but I guess I'm in charge of the town now by default (still getting used to that!) due to Zchinque's death. Therefore I'll at least try to maintain some order in these troubled times and try not to randomly lynch people.

See the thing is, I'd be very suspicious of me as well if I were you based on the circumstances. However, I'm not sure of eyeball's involvement in the mafia, since my suspicions of him have died down in the past day or two, but it really makes no sense for a mafia to get rid of his last buddy. 4v1 is still winnable for him - a mislynch and an assassination would make it 2v1, which actually gives the mafia a great shot at winning this.

However, if the last member of the mafia did indeed cast the vote for Titanium, then he must be either:
1. Very confident that his disguise as a townie is flawless - leading the rest of them to lynch each other.
or
2. Thinks it's the best shot because Titanium was going to go down anyway, so might as well make it look like he's innocent.

Or maybe both... and I'm not sure I want to start accusing eyeball just yet since a mislynch is very undesirable even though it's 4v1. So... basically right now I'm a little unsure about this situation. Talk, people. Let's see what we can come up with. If we have 2 suspects, and if the first lynch is wrong, we still have leads for the final day. I'm not sure if this makes sense to anyone...

Although I'd been suspecting Dominic for a while, I think he's proven his innocence in my eyes. I find it hard to suspect any of the remaining 3 that voted for Titanium (although the possibility remains) and so my biggest suspicions are of GoJays. I don't want to start making accusations yet either though, a mislynch would be disastrous and we don't have a deadline yet so we have plenty of time.

I have a question for eyeball and GoJays. Presumably you found me suspicious because of my early defence of Titanium, which suggests you also thought he was a mafia. So why did you not vote for him instead?

No no, I'd been suspicious of you for ages, if you look back through the thread I've said it many times. I wasn't suspicious of Titanium for most of yesterday (not until he came out with the weird nerd rage thing). I hadn't really connected anything between you and Titanium actually.
