Hunting games and sports games are ones that tend to get slightly better with each revision though and so the old ones do tend to be worse. Of course there are a few exceptions to the rule that might be nice to have on GOG but sports games in particular will have very outdated rosters.
A lot of the classics on GOG are valued because there's no modern contemporary available or they represent a stellar example of their genre.

Hey, dark hair and glasses are cute (not just on vampires and zombies ;) ). But if I was a gamer girl I probably wouldn't mention it here so I wouldn't have to deal with all these stereotypes. And btw, not only are there female gamers but also quite a few female game designers (one of the inventors of Portal and team leader in its production was Kim Swift, for example).

Because hunting simulators are not about running around and shooting everything you see. It is about skill in taking your time to wait for your kill to come close and then place the correct shot in a vital area. Not to mention looking for that animal with a high scoring trophy. There is a lot of skill and patience involved with realistic hnuting simulators.

I can't stand the stereotypical attitude people have against women in general but it comes out in gaming more often then not, I mean look at almost every female in a video game. Skimpy clothing, ridiculously over sized breasts, it's just stupid that this is what gaming has come to.

And as you said there are TONS of women in video game development. I'm positive that now a days the ratio is near even on boys/girls who play video games, it's probably 60% guys 40% girls, or somewhere near that. It's still a male dominated medium but we really need to lose the childish and sexist reflections in video games.

Not sure if that percentage is accurate but if there are less girls in gaming, it's not least the fault of the stereotype that gaming's a man's sport. Would you be interested in taking up a hobby that's considered to be mostly for girls, because "boys don't do that stuff"?

Hpw about a hunting game that has you blowing the faces off bunnies and deer, while being chased by angry bears and a T-Rex?

LOL I have Natural Fawn Killers on disk somewhere. You could actually make levels for it in MSPaint... I remember doing one with loads of T-Rex's on (which is like the last boss) it was hilarious to play.
