I just bought two games several minutes ago:
Enemy Engaged: Apache vs Havoc
Enemy Engaged: Comanche vs Hokum

After checking out, I began downloading the game. But GoG gave me 403: Forbidden error message.

First I thought it only happens on the new games I've purchased (probably because the checkout process hasn't really finished or something), but out of curiosity, I tried re-downloading the games I've previously own, like Martian Dreams and Shattered Steel.

Turned out downloading those games also gives me 403: Forbidden error.

So, I cannot download anything from GOG. Be it the games I've just purchased, or the games I've previously owned, the download link always gives me the 403 error.

I've tried installing GOG Downloader for Windows, but the installer hangs during the "Finishing Installation...." process.

Help!

We are aware of this issue, as far as I understand it only affects users using "complicated" connections (like being behind proxy servers). We're currently gathering information about this issue and will prepare a fix once we know more. Please tell me as much about your connection as possible and, ideally, attach a link to your Speedtest.net result. Is your IP static or dynamic?

As for the Downloader, please check if it was installed regardless of being stuck at the end of installation. If it wasn't, please try again and let me know if the installation gets stuck again.

Here is the link to my Speedtest.net result:

Unfortunately, it doesn't say anything whether I'm using proxy or not, but I bet I am. Almost every ISP in my country uses proxy as far as I know.

As for the GOG Downloader, yes, the application was installed despite being stuck, but everytime I start to run it, it gives me the following error:

"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application."

Wait... the installation process has finished properly now (still, it is unaturally slow for an installation program to finish). But still, GOG downloader still gives me the "The application failed to initialize properly" error even after the installation process finished.

This suggests that the .NET 3.5 framework may be improperly installed. Please do a check with this tool http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/archive/2008/10/13/8999004.aspx, just remember to select the above version.
