When you ask for help with you`r pc, ALWAYS submit these:
OS?
Name of program(s) involved?
And a certain timeline, before, when it happens / how often et cetera

That said, the cause of the freezing is many. When in doubt - turn your pc on and off again.
Hmm try turning off anti-virus software if you have it. The computer might be hanging up on scanning the GOG installer files.

That`s what we get for using a system that is errata rotten from the core and out. Big things tend to fall hard.

Maybe M$ should do as Linus, yell to the sw engineers and tell them to shut up, stop blaming the user programs, and start coding better. &-)
