I'd love to be in on this, but i already run a fantasy footy league and have four teams going in xpert eleven, which takes up a lot of time.

Can anyone tell me how much time you have to spend on your player? Is it a daily thing, weekly thing? If its not too bad I'll play, dont mind which position...

ok - signed up as a 17 year old MC - Maurice Payne....if you want me tell me how to join the club...;o)

Fujek: Funny enough my account was accepted with a delay after being inaccessible. Seems like just waiting it out solved everything ;)
There is a little problem though given our team statistic:
GK Andy Stevens
DR Artek Goliński AND Mathias Arminia
DC Henning Mangelsdorff AND Michael Patton
MC Henrik Solberg
ML Ondřej Tobolák

DR and DC are now set twice.
If I switch to DL and one of the DRs switches to MR/FR, we'd be set, or am I missing something? (I thought we had a FC?)
avatar
nmillar: Well, a traditional 4-4-2 formation would have two centre backs, but if one of the DRs switches to DL, then we have a defence.

GK: Andy Stevens
DL: Artek Goliński / Mathias Arminia
DR: Artek Goliński / Mathias Arminia
DC: Henning Mangelsdorff
DC: Michael Patton
ML: Ondřej Tobolák
MR:
MC: Henrik Solberg
MC:
FC: Juha Kankkunen
FC:
If someone can tell me how to switch from right to left, I will do :)
My Character will still have right leg strength ;)

Ubivis: If someone can tell me how to switch from right to left, I will do :)
I guess you just set training to 'Left side'?
I've set my next training to left, since I'm defensive now and we got DR and DC already.
Or, should I switch to forward/middle?

I think there's a position training option.

There's a training option for
Change Position to Goalkeeper
Change Position to Defender
Change Position to Midfield
Change Position to Forward
Right Side
Left Side
Middle (Side)

I have a question concerning shoes.
Is there (and if there is, what is the) a difference between shoes that feature two bonus and the ones with just one?
I'm having an eye on Tec&Cont Q5D5 (5/5) with Technique and Tackling +10 for 10350€. It sounds like a good choice for a defender and I think getting top quality and durability might be good right away.
Or would you advice to go with the lesser quality and durability ones for now?
How long can I expect my outfit to last?
What wage should I expect?
I have switched my training to train the left side. I think Fujek, you should take one of the still available slots :)

FC or MC would be a good spot for you I think ;)

NEVER use slots in position training, unless you are in a hurry to change it. Since any of you have not yet played a game, you will GAIN the position you'll play next. Players have experience on those positions, so the most played position is your position.

Let me know what position you want to play, and I'll make it happen :)

Ugh.
Both FC and MC are set! (MC - Henrik Solberg and FC Juha Kankkunen)
Such a chaos :p
If I switch, I'll have to waste another two training units (already spent some going from GK to Defender :p), so I'd prefer to know which one I should aim for now as a final decision ;)
What system are we even going to play?
If we use four midfielders, would we have two in centre position? That way I could just switch to Midfielder and waste only one training.
avatar
KneeTheCap: NEVER use slots in position training
Somebody should have told me ^^
I switched my training now to reflect the order and am up for ANY damn position that I'm assigned (as I do not yet understand the game anyway :p)

It's not a big of a loss (one day training). But yes, the position you see in the character screen is the position you have played most. It can be changed anytime by the manager putting you to a different position :)

So don't you guys worry about positions, that's the manager's problem :)

For example, our keeper, Andy, has chosen to be a goalkeeper. But as he has not played a game yet, and if I play him as a forward next game, his player page will show that he's a FC after the first game :D

One FC and MR are still free, I think. And we will need some substitues too, right? So if someone like Rob has not enough time to play he can be on the bench and play only when needed.
Though I don't think the game takes much of a time. You can only set training, tactics for next match (which is matter of minutes as soon as you understand it) and then there are only games, right? Of course you can do some other things but it's not necessary.
Should I be concentrating on training one skill (e.g. Handling), or should I try and develop all my skills simultaneously?

My current training scheme looks like this:

Monday: Agility (GK), Agility (GK), Agility (GK)
Tuesday: Fitness, Fitness, Fitness
Wednesday: Reflexes (GK), Reflexes (GK), Reflexes (GK)
Thursday: Out of Area (GK), Out of Area (GK), Out of Area (GK)
Friday: Throwing (GK), Throwing (GK), Throwing (GK)
Saturday: Handling (GK), Handling (GK), Handling (GK)
Sunday: Having Fun, Having Fun, Having Fun

You've got time to have fun? This is serious bussines, mister! :-)
I am trying to develop more of them simultaneously. Guide KneetheCap provide it mentions onloy day blocks to speeden up training, not weekly ones.
As I understood it, you don't need to train fitness unless it drops too much so I think full day of it is waste now. When we all have around 100%.
Does GK's improve slower? They have a lot less abilities so they should reach their max easier, right?
avatar
Vitek: Does GK's improve slower?
As far as I understand it they can never really reach the same training efficiency as the normal players, because they have less of a chance to participate with the team training and need to go individual most of the time (which reduces your 'efficiency value by ~45%, whatever that means).

That said, is it really beneficial that we have a whole day set to Goalkeeper specific team training (Saturday)?

I've got my personal training set to same as Team training, except for a saturday where I work on Short passing. Is it beneficial to keep your trainig the same as the team training?

Also - I'm down on the Team sheet as ML, but I came in as a MC, and have 100% experience in Centre - I am Left Footed though....;o)

Yup, it does make you improve faster but sometimes it can not fit your needs so it's better to switch to something else.
Don't woory, I won't let you play at my position. :-) As KneetheCap said. He can just put you on MC and you become MC after match is played. It's tomorrow btw. :-)
