Are there any other games (asides of friendly, cup and league) that we're going to participate?

Nope :)

The cup starts about halfway through the season, so no need to worry about that :)

Wow. We ended up with a very interesting position!
C-3, our new division contains only a single human team and that is an FC farm, so it should certainly be possible to end up first again, unless we massively screw up.
Our first cup match is a D-division bot team, so we have a very good chance to play at least another cup match!

And we actually have until the 28th until our first league match. So, we can go through this week's training and another before our first game.

I love seeing the trophy in the team's case. But I feel a little silly having a winners' medal after having played just one league game. :-)

Just as a little note to both you and the team, should you decide that you don't want to play as part of the awesome GoG FC, you simply stay inactive. As it is right now (if you don't log in again), your account is going to be deleted on the 11.10.2011 at about 03:30 BST (GMT+1). That's half way in t into the season and before our first cup match.

Indeed! Which is brilliant, as it grants me a little time to try and get my Confidence up on par again. I'm trying to stock up a few interaction points and then I'll take a day of 'Stay Alone', in the hope that it's going to use my spare points to keep up my Friendship values.

It's simple. Being part of GOG is 'win by default', so why should it be any different for the famous GoG FC? ;p

On the topic of Confidence, could you select 'give an Interview' for poor Henning and wish him good luck (and wish him good luck on the interaction page as well :p), since you're the only one with a 100% friendship value for me so far.

You can only interact with a player once every 7 days.

An interview works different from the 'normal' player interaction.
On the player's personal page you can click 'Give an Interview' (either click the link, or see the attached screenshot).
Independently from player interactions, you can give three interviews per week (only one per player though) and if we get lucky it's going to be featured in the newspaper on Friday.

As for the 'normal' 'Wish him luck interaction', I meant once you can :p

I attached a screenshot of my suggestion for Season 17 and 18.
After looking at the top ten national teams, all of them seem to play with four defenders and two (or three) strikers, while the midfield is a completely mixed up mess.
Assuming that we're going to get a very decent FC and DC in Season 18 (and loosing our DMC stoicsentry and FC), I tried to plan a 'least change', best adaptation for the real season 18, where we'd play against other human teams in the B division.

I'd love if everybody (and especially you) could provide feedback on this and if we agree, set the formation accordingly.

I'm happy with that - although I'm left footed, so in Season 17 stick me on the left side of the centre two

Am I right to assume that the next friendly match is going to be played by bots again and just serves the purpose of generating revenue for our beloved GoG FC, or are there any human players going to be involved?

It seems that on Tuesday a lot of our players had a massive Confidence issue. All but two (KneeTheCap and HomerSimpson) of us now dwell at an Average rating. I've returned the favour of an Interview with positive words on Ubivis and nmillar (invested 20 and 19 Interaction points, so they should certainly get featured this Friday) and had another one earlier this week for Rondel (with only 5 points though).
It would be nice if everybody could spend some points (15-20 make a good guess for infamous players like us according to the footstar forum) on Interviews to help and get our team's confidence back up to High.

And I'd certainly appreciate feedback on my suggestion for the team formation (and the team training schedule!) before we/Knee have to resort to last minute changes again :/

Friendlies are always played by bots. No need for human players to lose their fitness. And your formation looked excellent, and if no-one objects, I'm gonna use them as is :)
