I just bought 2 old games for MS Vista and I downloaded and installed Gog but the Gog downloader is just a blank grey screen. Is this normal and how does one fix this?

Both "Resume all" and "Pause all" are blank. I can only click into "Settings" but I'm not sure what to do there or Logout.

Not sure what I'm missing...

You start the download from you GOG account . Account - Library - Game - Download

Yes, been there done that. I already installed the Gog downloader. Nothing is happening. It's just a grey screen to which I can't do anything.

Yes I did. I apparently only donwloaded (which didn't work) the manual and other stuff but failed to download the game with it. I then went back to the installer screen and installed the game. The game works but the controls suck! haha

I'm playing Duke Nukem 3D and I remember playing this only on the Nintendo 64. I apparently never played it on the PC. (face palm) = controlls.

Thanks for your help!

My advice is don't use the mouse, since this game is not true 3D mouse look can cause motion sickness (try looking at something at your feet to see what I mean). Besides, bullet damage is same no matter where you hit, so head aim is not necessay. Play with arrow keys + space/ctrl/alt just like the old Wolfenstein 3D, Doom and the like. Worked for me at least. It's just a matter of getting used to then.
....and don't shoot the strippers! Took me forever to figure out that's what kept the baddies respawning!
Another option for more modern controls is to use EDuke32 with Duke3D's data files from your GOG installation.
