I bought and downloaded Rainbow Six on GOG when it went on sale over the weekend. It does not include the Eagle Watch expansion. However, I ordered a hard copy of the Eagle Watch expansion online and am getting it through the mail soon.
Is there any reason the expansion won't patch the digital copy of R6 or work correctly if it is installed?

*P.S. - GOG, bring us Rogue Spear with its expansions! :)

If it uses the normal version of the game (not customized ,exe's or whatever) it should do but i think you may be better launching a support ticket for this as its pretty specific and you may get a more full answer.

I have "limited" knowlege when it comes to this stuff

In addition to contacting support, try cross posting to the game's forum. Perhaps someone there has already done this and can relate their experience.
