Hi, I'm brand new here. I want to purchase a game (Creatures Village), but I'm concerned that the midi files (background music) won't play on my laptop (running XP Pro). I'd be willing to take my chances and try it if I knew that CS would step in and help or credit me a refund if it didn't work. So can anyone tell me what kind of service I can expect from the powers that be?

Customer service is otherwise great, but they don't give refunds. If you are concerned about the game's performance, you might want to post this question in the game specific forum:

Thanks, I will.
There is the possibility of a refund for rare exceptions, but I don't think this would be one of them. But GOG would do whatever they could to get you fixed up.

With all due respect, I somehow doubt that. I posted my question in the proper game forum as requested, but I doubt they even have any intention of looking into it. Actions speak louder than words.

Doubt is understandable, but I assure you GOG is an outlier. I have contacted support many times and always received a response. A few were belated, but staff is small, and yeah..they don't work weekends.
