[url=http://www.gog.com/x11]Our holiday sale is here! You’ve been waiting for the chance to pick up all of our great classics at incredible savings, and that time is now. Virtually the entire catalog is 50% off from now until 2 January 2011. While most of you have probably clicked through and are getting games now, let’s let you know about the fine details of the promo.

Activision games are on sale until the 26th of December, so be sure to pick them up early. We’ll do our best to remind all of you via or [url=http://twitter.com/#!/GOGcom]Twitter about that, so be sure to follow us there if you aren’t for updates and reminders. Further, The Witcher 2 will be 40% off during this holiday sale, but the Witcher: Enhanced Edition is 50% off. Finally, there are a few games that are not in our holiday sale: in particular, Codemasters games and Gothic 1 are not included this year.

Our holiday sales are the best time this year for you to pick up all of the classic PC games that you have been waiting to get since you joined GOG.com; Santa also appreciates you picking up games on GOG.com, because that’s less for him to fit in his sleigh. ;)

Happy Holidays to all, and we hope all your gaming wishes come true!

GOG:
What seems to be a bug:
Some games are on sale according to their cards' prices (e.g. "ArmA Gold Edition"), yet they are not listed on the sale page (http://www.gog.com/en/page/xmas11) even though I do not own them.

SLP2000: It's horrible experience for the customer, I wonder if other other DD stores have similar problems when they begin sales.
I've seen loading issues when GamesGate started their summer sale with accidental 99% discount. Also, I get an occasional failure in Steam when the new deals roll in.
I can't even buy anything. When I'm on game page I cannot add anything to cart because I'm logged out.

That's bad.
damn. so many games for me to buy.

I'm in the same situation. When on the game page (any game) it shows me as logged out. Yet, it's obvious I'm logged in since I'm posting this...
Ok I finally got all the games I wanted bought thankfully. Hopefully some of you get some of the problems you had with the sale straitened out.

I wonder if it's related to the everyone is offline bug that's been pervading the forums for about a week now?
I was even having trouble posting this (actually trying for an hour and always getting a 404-error, until now).

The PayPal-checkout seems to be messed up pretty much, as it simply reloads the checkout page, instead of going to the PayPal site. I simply can't buy the stuff in my cart... annoying!

Also, on game pages prices are regular, it's so confusing...

Gog f----d up. I will wait with purchases until tomorrow.

Edit: it appears you have to add games to the cart from the promo page only. But I will wait with my payments since people are reporting problems with that also...

Well, what do you know... it looks like complaining on the forums was the immediate cure: I finally managed to check out via PayPal. Now the next hurdle will of course be the actual downloads...
I can't seem to check out with paypal at the moment still. Luckily I don't intend to download the games yet when I finally send GOG the money.
Just wait some time, it's natural there will be problems with payment when the entire server is chocking.
I picked up several games I will try one day... such as: Empire Earth II (if your gift is any good, I will play the sequel too), Neverwinter Nights, Planescape: Torment (my old version is not working), Ghost Recon and Unreal Tournament - all for $24.95!

You are the best, GOG!

Such things should not happen anytime. When big sales like this start, lot's of new customers arrive. If they experienced such huge problems with payment in their first contact with the company, they would never buy anything from gog again.
Thank you gog. Although, I wished PiranhaBytes would have been included. Anyway - great deal.

Merry Christmas and Happy New (Gaming) Year to everybody!
