robothive: Penumbra: Overture is probably the scariest game I've ever played. It makes F.E.A.R. look like Dance Dance Revolution.

Amazon hates money just like GOG.

Must be... well after shipping it was 11 bucks... but that seems like a steal... :)

Hahahahah... true.
Hey, I checked on their homepage to look for the number of Amnesia Preorders.
ONLY 500! WE NEED 1500 OR ELSE NO BONUS CONTENT! SHAME ON YOU GUYZ!

I think that's for the second round of bonus content. I find it hard to believe that they have only had 500 preorders in the few months that it has been out.

Funny, I find Dance Dance Revolution more shit-pants worthy.

KavazovAngel: There are barely any enemies in the Penumbra series. The environment and the atmosphere is what is frightening. Play the tech demo first if you wanna see how the game plays...

but what's the combat like then? i watched the amnesia trailer, but the guy just hid in a closet..
i mean, do you pick up chairs and stuff and hurl them at the monsters?

In the second (and third?) Penumbra game there's no combat at all and in the first one the combat - which isn't even recommended - is fairly clumsy.
It's much more of a horror-adventure game than anything else.
