Do you need to patch games from GOG or are most up to date. Also are official patches compatible with gog games?.

If you see a patch on your GOG shelf, you should install it. And no, retail patches doesn't apply to GOG games, excluding "special" ones (like translation, for example).

With some very specific exceptions, GOG's games are fully patched and official patches are incompatible with GOG's games.
