Every time I get a 404 from GOG and see that stary picture I think of the Space Empires games. Ones they was like a drug and I get reminded of that. It's not nice. Makes me want to lose days playing them again. :P
I've never seen GOG's 404 screen. Sounds pretty awesome though.

I've seen it a lot today. In fact I thought GOG was preparing a sale or announcement or just messing around with maintenance. Hence this thread.

I usually see it every morning on weekdays. The forum is so slow in the morning that a simple refresh of the general forum often results in the 404 screen. Sometimes, it can't find even that, and I end up with the browser's own 404 screen. I don't know what goes on on the GOG servers around that time, but it seems to be bogging down the system fairly heavily. Fortunately, the GOG 404 screen is so cute, I don't mind seeing it every now and then ;-)
The forum tend to be slow, takes at least a minute to refresh but the rest of the site is ok.
I see it as a good sign. Many customers are throttling the system. :)
Got many 404 today so I got curious. New release? :P It's rare I see the teasing GOG 404 screen.
I can handle 4X in space. Honestly. I can stop right now. After I've done this small adjustment. And this. And....
