WhiteElk: Posting quick since your here....

Can you tell us anything about the parameters of "stun"? Are the conditions that would create stun, nullified when the Tank ability has redirected the damage?
Added that answer to my previous post. "Stun" is sort of like "items", both never really made it to the *first* draft of the game. Well, items did, but only the 3HP health potions. Nothing else.

So stun, more items, etc. are unfinished pieces to the game that may show up in another round if we play again. Also, class specializations, etc. But let's cross that bridge when we come to it.

EDIT: So receiving an item does not end a players Action Phase. What about giving an item?
You can give or receive independently of whatever else you are doing, provided you are in the same square.

Maybe to make it clearer, I will add item transfer as a third "choice" that can be made each turn. That's effectively what it is.

So if the Tank ability is activated, but no-one takes damage, is the ability wasted?

WhiteElk: EDIT 2: Does the use of the Tank ability require proximity? (can one unit take another units damage even if they are on opposite ends of the board)?
It does NOT require proximity. Ideally, it would, but I had trouble designing it to work otherwise.

So I guess just think of it as if the Warrior issuing a frightening shout from the pit of his stomach that hurts him, but distracts the enemy that would hit your party member. That's stretching it, but that's the best I've got right now.

The ability persists passively until it can be used. Like a trap waiting to be sprung.

That works! This is the fantasy genre afterall. I can suspend my disbelief easily here :~) If a mage can harness lightening to do his bidding, then a warrior oughta be able to do something astoundingly heroic such as closing an improbable distance to intercede an attack on his ally.

Haha, I suspended disbelief long enough to believe that. What I couldn't suspend it on was the idea that the warrior magically moves back to his original board position instantaneously.
Warrior uses his special shout to distract enemy combatant so that his attack misses but it saps his life energy ;)

Perhaps he throws a great stone, but strains a major muscle group in his haste... hence the damage to himself :~)

OK, I will message them as well. It's not your teams turn yet, so we have a little time to make sure that they are still going to be active.

It is a holiday today in the US, so if any of them are from the US then they may be spending the day with family/friends so they might not respond today but we'll see.

Also, if anyone reading this thread who is not currently playing the game wants to sign up to be a "reserve" just in case any of the members of the 2nd team become inactive, you are quite welcome to do so. (See the 1st post on page 1 and create a character).

Ok Landeril, as soon as you are ready to post your team's moves, you can do so. :)
