undeadcow: Sony may not be willing to release much of their catalog on blu-ray but I think Fright Night is one title that will definitely see greater availability on blu-ray in the next year or two after their limited release contract lapses; that's one title they'd be blind not to see a clear demand for.
Unfortunately, they failed to "strike while the iron was hot" when they did the remake, or they could have made a decent chunk of change. I don't remember that last time the original Fright Night was available on blu-ray, but it was all over the place in Redbox kiosks when the new movie was released in theatres, and again when the remake was released on home video. If Redbox pushed the movie heavily twice during that time, Sony could have tried reaping renewed interest at the original at the time as well.*

*Also, surprise, the original was better than the remake with Colin Ferrell.
