The Let's Play on the Codex a while back made me curious.
Plus there seem to be more stats and skills in this than in all Bioware combined, which also makes me curious to try it.

I wont even lie, when I first laid my eyes onto this game I was instantly repulsed; however being how I am I decided I should at least give the summery a view. I was very intrigued by how the game sounded in the summery as it was doing something I had never seen before. I then watched the trailer and became yet further intrigued. I am now quite interested in trying this game out despite my own initial thoughts. I think that a political sim has a lot of potential if done right, and it sounds like this one is. Well that's the reason I want it, so thanks for the giveaway.
I want to play a princess and be ruthless to her people. evil laugh. Also going to balls meeting prince charming sounds like a fun game.

Forgot to say thanks for the compo.

I'm surprised people diss this game. Remember Recettear? some people diss it because of its art style. but when it received glowing reviews people flock to it and praise it.

I'm in, because I don't want to be those kind of people. I will judge a game by their own merit.

Shame on you.
I... I am going to bite the bullet and participate despite thinking I'd never get this game for reasons I wrote down in the release topic.

The reason for participating is as follows: getting this from a giveaway is a very good excuse to try and play the game objectively, and a very good excuse to escape judgement from others if they saw me playing it.

That said, I'm not sure if I really wish to win, because I am terrified of the prospect of having to explain this game on my shelf (and trust me, I would have to), but on the other hand I feel pretty open minded about this, and the mechanics truly interest me.

In any case, if I win, I promise I will try it earnestly and write an objective, non-hater and non-fan review for it. That is a part of the reason to participate, I feel this game might deserve neutral criticism.

Still... I am inexplicably scared. Of the unknown.

EDIT: Changed my participation to be in for RedRagan, for reasons discussed later.

Why are you so worried about others seeing your game shelf? Video games already looked down by a lot of people. (most) Parents, when they see their children playing video games will say

"Stop wasting your time playing video games!"

And a lot of people think that gamers are a bunch of slackers. Worse is when Fox News target us gamers as some kind of moral deviant.

Are we really that afraid of being labeled?

I'm proud with my game library. Disgaea stand side by side with Battlefield 3. Toro: Let's Party with Saboteur. Suikoden with Diablo 2. I love my hobby. I don't need to waste my time worrying about what people think about me. I am me and they are them. Find better friends.

Now decide, you want this game or not. I hate indecisive people. Take your side or stay behind while others move forward faster.
I want it because the pics gave me a boner.

You do realize you can always hide your shelf, if you think there's a problem with it...

I guess I could try to have a shot at winning this. Why would I want the game? Simple: it looks so weird, I simply must know what's the deal with it. I've been pleasantly surprised by obscure, frowned-upon games before, and perhaps this isn't an exception either. Also, I'm seriously beginning to lack of interesting games to play in my library, so there's that too...
I like your intent, Knee.

Consider adding a link to the demo in the OP:

Not in though, thank you. +1

Short answer: yes we are, at least I am. I don't want games affecting the more important parts of my life any more than they do now.

Long answer is not a thing for this discussion, so if you want to judge me for taking the neutral stance at this, find a better partner for that discussion thank you very much.

In fact, I think I'll actually be in for RedRagan, so he can move forwards faster than me. I don't think I deserve this game after all.

KneeTheCap: You're willing to mock and judge the game before even playing it. Gee, where have I seen that before? *coughFoxNewscough*
Since this comment is obviously at least partially directed at me, let me just say GO FUCK YOURSELF!!! If you think you can in any way compare me to that shit stain on the bed sheets of civilization without even knowing me, then you are just as bad as they are.

KneeTheCap: Anyway, before you judge and slam the game, why not actually try to play it before?
Because I have more games than I have time to play, and more are coming out all the time. Why on Earth would I then spend my time playing games I'm sure I'll hate?

+1 for the giveaway though. The game may not be for me, but someone will probably like it ;-)

Did I ever name you in any of the posts? No, I did not. Hence it's safe to assume that it was not directed at you, but thank you for coming to my giveaway thread to tell me to go fuck myself. I can just feel the warmth within this community.

So you're basically okay with judging the book by its cover? Then you know what? FUCK YOU TOO. A lot of people here also got a ton of backlog and you use that kind of reasoning? Someone is trying too hard to find an excuse to hate something.

On a serious note, not my type of thing. Not in. +1
I've wishlisted the game, so no reason I shouldn't jump at the chance to win it. Personally, I think the jolly visuals help make palatable a deceptively complex game that requires one to manage a lot of details at once, as many Japanese games do. The mechanics remind me of the daily life side of Persona 3, where you have to balance learning with socialising and personal development, struggling to maintain equilibrium against assaults both internal and external.

+1 for the giveaway and for the effort to encourage broad-mindedness.

Most certainly in.
