As far as I'm aware, there won't be, although there will be NPCs in the game. You will be playing with others though regardless.

The world needs another mainstream FPS as much as it needs an ulcer on its ass

Why is 'single player campaign' quoted on the website?

There isn't. Read it precisely - the game is trying to present itself as being attractive to single-players, but all it does is incorporate traditionally single-player elements such as a storyline and NPCs.

Essentially they're trying to market it as a multiplayer-only game, which are often commercial failures. Much of the marketing blurb is very misleading, as they're trying to portray it as a single-player game as well, which shows how insecure they are about it being online only.

Got as far as from the creators of Call of Duty....PASS.
EA=12398127 DLCs
60 euros!
Oh yay, another modern military shooter... no thanks. If this was purely a mech combat game, then maybe... but this is just Call of Duty except as a killstreak perk you get a mech (as opposed to an airstrike or care package or turret or dog).
I had hope for this game at first but it seems the mechs won't be adding much to the game. It looks more and more like another COD game(which are okay but nothing to get excited about and buy at launch for me).
ahh another crappy, multiplayer, mediocre first person shooter :')
About this:

http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/06/24/why-titanfall-has-no-single-player-campaign

Actually, I'm all for games concentrating on being either single- or multiplayer games, rather than rather poorly both. So if they made the decision to make Titanfall multiplayer-only, all the power to them, even if it means I will probably pass the game.

Much better that, than they making a multiplayer game and then adding a short, linear and poor single-player campaign into it, and marketing it as a single-player game too. Co-operative gaming mode may fit better into some single-player campaigns, like in certain FPS or beat'em up games, as long as it is fully optional. It is just two (or more) people playing the same single-player campaign together, a bit like playing some old console game side by side.

It is a different thing then if some company feels that all their future games should be social multiplayer games, but fortunately there still seem to be developers willing to make single-player games.
Yeah, I gave up complaining about multi-player only titles - there's thousands of others to keep me busy. I used to get frustrated because it felt like really awesome game ideas were getting wasted but then I realized that maybe some games get so over zealously large that there's no way to present them than other from a Master Online Server.

If this is MMO though, I think I'll pass and hope for a Capcom or SquareEnix production of MechWarrior 5.
