If anyone is intersted in the Tomb Raider (Anniversary & Underworld), they shoudl buy them. They are cheap and DRM free. I asked the support about Underworld and they told me it was DRM free. I assume Anniversary is too.
When doing the manipulation to keep the DRM free version of the game which doesn't need the Gamersgate installer (copy the files while the actual installer is running) I noticed the setup.exe was not there (it was directly re-encrypted to "launch"). However, opening the taskbar, locating the installer process (it was "blabla.tmp" running from the temporary Windows directory) and copying that file was enough to have a working copy (just rename the .tmp file to setup.exe).

Any experience with it on Windows 7 x64? I'm gathering that there are some problems with it, though some people say it just needs to be run on a single core.

The game needs to be set to one core and software mode to run properly. But for me that was the same deal as with XP, to be honest.

So, some new stuff again this week.
Did anyone actually buy anything? I think it's probably because I'm pretty Steam-biased overall but I've been less than excited about this '5 Year Anniversary' sale. I actually bought a 6 dollar game on Gog this weekend over anything on there .. :/

I didn't buy anything either, I just haven't seen anything interesting.
But I haven't bought anything on GOG for months now either, the sales on all the sites are rather lukewarm.

You mean during the whole sale so far? I've bought a few things: Bionic Commando Rearmed, Sim City 4, Mount and Blade: Warband and Alpha Prime (OK, so that last one's a little sketchy, but it was only a dollar). Bionic Commando in particular is one that I've been waiting for a discount on for ages. There have also been a few that I'd have bought if I didn't already own them, like the Tomb Raider games.
I agree that the sale is mostly noise, though, and a lot of this stuff is fairly common GG sales fodder (and was just on sale in December to boot). Disappointing for a five-year anniversary sale, but there have been a few good deals in there.

On my last little trip to the US which just happened to coincide with the first week or so of the sale, I picked up my 4th copy of Mirror's Edge, Crysis and couple of other things.
I might just take another trip to the US this weekend to pick up Create to play with the children.
So far my eldest has started to learn how to control a mouse by playing bits of Plants Vs. Zombies and Chuzzles...

Not much TBH and the stuff I did buy was cheap. Call of Juarez 2, Disciples, East India Company Collection, Jagged Alliance 2 Gold, King Kong, Spellforce Universe, The Guild Gold & Vigil: Blood Bitterness. My wallet wasn't hit anywhere near as hard as it was with the last Steam sale.

I've bought Flatout 1, 2 & UC, Disciples 1 Gold & 2 Gold and Shadowgrounds so far. I'll maybe buy Alpha Prime with blue coins.
The Flatout games are awesome but I should have bought the last one only because the 3 of them are basically the same game. What bothers me is that UC uses GFWL but GG won't provide the key because the game description says "Games for Windows is not supported". I thought that maybe they had removed GFWL from the game but that isn't the case. The game still has GFWL you just can't use an online profile because GG doesn't sell you a key.
I don't understand how GG struck a deal with the publisher specifically stating that the keys for GFWL weren't necessary. Maybe there is some sort of legal problem with this game that prevents it from getting more GFWL keys? AFAIK it is the only game that uses GFWL with this problem.

I bought King Kong (great game), Flock, Bionic Commando Rearmed, Guardians of Graxia Elves & Dwarves, Saints Row 2. But yes this 5-year anniversary sale is underwhelming, to say the least.

New titles of note:
Disciples and Disciples 2 - I've only played the first one briefly, but it seemed pretty solid, and they have a strong reputation. For some reason, buying them separately appears to be cheaper than buying them together in the Platinum collection.
Elven Legacy Collection - great turn-based tactical fun, though not very forgiving. $9 gets you quite a lot of content here. Recommended.
King's Bounty Crossworlds - in case you've got Armored Princess, but not the expansion. I haven't played the expansion itself yet, but I'm sure it's lovely. Includes a level editor, though whether the community has actually made use of it or not, I don't know.
Stalker: Call of Pripyat (Loyalty Edition) - This requires you to have one of the other two Stalker games installed. I can confirm that it works with the Shadow retail box. Haven't played it yet, but Shadow was spiffy but Pripyat is supposedly better.
Sword of the Stars Complete - a great little stripped-down 4X focused mostly on combat and conquest. Very refreshing, if that's what you're looking for.
