CLOSED-winners announced below

*edit: Please give a big thanks to Momo1991 for donating an extra copy of Karateka!

In one of my previous giveaways, I asked for some advice about upgrading my computer. Well, I did a bit of reading around, checked out everyone's advice, and I finally have parts picked out for a build and ordered. I'll list the stats below (and thanks again for the help, folks!)

I wanted to celebrate with a big giveaway, but as I'll be broke as hell for quite some time to come, this will be a really small giveaway, and sadly it may be my last one for at least a couple months.

Requirements: must have registered w/ the site by/before April 2013 and/or have at least 20 rep. To enter, just say you're in, and what games you'd like to enter for. You're more than welcome to re-gift, enter for others, etc.

The games being given away are:

Patrician IV: Steam Special Edition + Rise of a Dynasty DLC
(Steam) - won by ne_zavarj
Karateka (Steam) (2 copies) - thank you Momo1991 for donating a copy! - won by mondo84 (for Austrobogulator) and khnk222
Guncraft (Desura) - won by Theta_Sigma
Eleusis (Desura) - won by maggotheart for Thespian*

I'll close the draw sometime between tonight and Wednesday night.

(*as for my computer build, I settled with this... I'm hoping I made good choices...)

AZZA Solaris Gaming Case
i5-3570K Processor
8 GB Kingston HyperX RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti - 2GB
Gigabyte GA-Z77X-D3H Motherboard
750 Watt Corsair (That I already had)
120 GB ADATA S510 SSD for primary drive
2 TB 16M Cache, 7200 RPM, 6.0Gb/s for secondary drive
24X BLU-RAY Reader Combo Drive

I wanted to go with 16gb RAM and also to get a sound card, but I was already going overboard, so I'm happy with this. :)

I'd be up for Karateka.

Also, seems good to me; you made a good call with sticking with 8gb and not getting a sound card. Neither of those are really necessary (unless you're doing some hefty audio/video work).
Thanks and +1 for your generosity, akhliber! (as well as Momo's) And congrats on your *new* rig, mate! ;)

*salivating* :D

Also, a little promotion in the Giveaways' Directory:

Please, count me in for Eleusis.

Hey, thank you very much, maggotheart! :)
I'm in for Guncraft. Instead of getting one stick of 8GB Ram, get 2 4GB sticks. Its generally faster doing that. And you have some RAM left if one of the sticks fails you. Other than that, good specs.

I'm a little envious of your new rig. Count me in for Karateka.

I'm glad you said this, as it is what I did, assuming this was the case, but I wasn't honestly sure. Glad I ordered two 4gb sticks! :)
Nice new rig and thanks for the giveaway! I'd like to enter for Austrobogulator if that's okay.

How much did it end up costing you ?

Also, I'd like to be in for Eleusis, but if I win please give it to Thespian.
I like to enter for Karateka. And congrats for your new rig, i'm planning to upgrade my 7 years old machine late this year. Might copy your specs, bar the graphics card and other peripherals.

While this is generally the case, do keep in mind how you plan to extend your RAM, and when. If your MOBO has 4 slots, then it's no problem going with 2x4GB stick, since you can always grab another 2 when you decide to upgrade to 16GB. Your mobo does indeed have 4 slots, so you should be able to go with 4 sticks of 4GB for a total of 16GB, but if you decide you are going to go for the full 32GB, you will have to replace your current ones with a new one. So depending on when (or if) you decide to upgrade your memory, the small (and it is small) speed increase may not be worth the extra memory costs.
P.S. 32GB of RAM make for really nice RAMdisks, which are blazing fast. They do need to be recreated each time you want to use them though.
P.P.S. Congratulations on your new machine, +1 for the giveaway, not entering.
