Sames happens to me lately, I'm getting older and not every game appeal me like when I was younger, but when I find a game that I really enjoy I do play it, maybe you just didnt found your game yet.
Another thing is if you try to play a lot of games at the same time you will get bored or annoy with all of them, just play 1 at the same time if you dont like it try another but 1 at the time no more, I think the exception to this rule are sport games :P

BlueMooner: Nov, are you trying to muscle in on Licurg's shtick? : P
I want the devs to make another game... and they'll need money to make it :)
And I wasn't even forcing it like Licurg forces Sacrifice... I mean, I don't blackmail, threaten or anything like that... and, of course, I added Deadly Premonition to the list of immersive games :)
There is a saying, "Absence makes the heart grow fonder" (or in the case of KQ5, "go yonder" :D ). I'd suggest taking a break, as someone mentioned. Chances are you'll appreciate the gaming more when you come back to it.

My gaming PC is in the shop (faulty RAM) for the holidays, and all I want to do is play the games I have started on it. Funny thing is I was previously not really in the mood to play anything. You start taking it for granted, and then when you are without it for a few days, you realize what a luxury gaming can be. <SIGH> Such is life...

Also though, I find immersion does depend on the right game at the right time. I likewise try not to have too many games of the same type going at once, to give each game my undivided attention. (When I'm at liberty to play anything...)

Follow your joy, passion and excitement to the best of your ability at any given moment. Kids do it all the the time but as adults we sadly forget!

IShoot4lolz: I'll start up a game, and will play for, say, 30 minutes. I will then get bored (or frustrated) with that game
I'd suggest giving a good thought to what you're looking for in games, then trying to find games that have these qualities. Try playing games which are somewhat different than your usual ones, and see if you enjoy them.

Playing at a lower difficulty or using walkthroughs can help with the frustration.

Licurg: Buy Lone Survivor, then turn of all the lights, and start playing. You'll be glued to the screen for weeks .
Buy superglue, smear on your screen and put your hand on it. You'll be glued to the screen for weeks. Works better than Lone Survivor in my experience.

Unfortunately as adults we are burdened with responsibilities, which really complicates things.

True, happens too easily, forgetting as simple and important things like that. Thanks for the reminder.
